After Pattern Energy's Western Spirit Wind Farm (1050 MW) came online in January 2022, it was only a matter of time before Pattern Energy revealed the next step in its bid to invest ~$9.5B in the state of New Mexico. They did so this week by applying for 566 new turbines as part of "Phase II" of the massive project. The FAA also preliminary completed 897 other turbine permits in accordance with the DoD and U.S. Air Force
Pattern Energy has more than 4,500 MW of New Mexico wind in operation or development, representing over $9.5 billion of planned investments.
