Summit Wind, how's Castelake's first repowering investment going?

Summit Wind is currently Castlelake's only principal wind investment. This transaction was manged by Castlelake's Real Asset Investing Team

Summit Wind located in Alameda County, California was fully repowered in 2021. Castlelake, a global investment manager based in Minneapolis, MN, the project will repower a former Altamont Pass wind farm by replacing 569 one-hundred-kilowatt turbines with 27 modern turbines. The project was actually completed with 23 modern turbines. The project is expected to generate more than 60 percent of its power during peak hours for Bay Area consumers. Summit Wind has a PPA agreement with East Bay Community Energy for all power generated during the next 20 years. Average Capacity Factor after 6 months: 30%
